George Moore

George Augustus Moore was an Irish novelist, short-story writer, poet, art critic, memoirist, and dramatist, born in 1852 and died in 1933. He was among the first English-language authors to adopt the naturalistic style influenced by French realists like Émile Zola. Moore is regarded as the first great modern Irish novelist and had a significant influence on writers such as James Joyce.
