Flavius Josephus

Flavius Josephus was a 1st-century Romano-Jewish historian, priest, and scholar born in Jerusalem. He initially fought against the Romans during the Jewish revolt but later surrendered and became a Roman citizen under imperial patronage. He wrote extensively about Jewish history and the Jewish War, providing crucial historical accounts of 1st-century Judea and early Christianity.
