Erica Armstrong Dunbar

Erica Armstrong Dunbar is an American historian specializing in African American women and the antebellum United States. She is a professor at Emory University and has authored several acclaimed books focusing on Black women's history. Dunbar has also contributed to public history through media and television, including serving as co-executive producer for HBO's The Gilded Age.
