David Guterson

David Guterson is an American novelist, short story writer, poet, journalist, and essayist born in 1956. He is best known for his bestselling novel Snow Falling on Cedars, which won the 1995 PEN/Faulkner Award and the American Booksellers Association Book of the Year Award. Guterson has also authored several other novels, story collections, poetry books, and nonfiction works, and he lives in Washington state.
