Darrell Huff

Darrell Huff (1913–2001) was an American writer best known for his 1954 book How to Lie with Statistics, which introduced statistics to a broad audience with clear writing and engaging anecdotes. Although not a statistician, he was a journalist and freelance writer who made complex statistical concepts accessible and practical for general readers.
