Arthur C. Clarke

Arthur C. Clarke (1917–2008) was a British science fiction writer, futurist, and populariser of space travel. He authored over 70 books of fiction and non-fiction, including the acclaimed novel 2001: A Space Odyssey, and was known as one of the 'Big Three' science fiction writers alongside Isaac Asimov and Robert Heinlein. Clarke received numerous awards and honors, including knighthood and Sri Lanka's highest civilian honor.
