Arnold Lobel

Arnold Lobel (1933–1987) was an American author and illustrator of children's books, best known for the Frog and Toad series and the Caldecott Medal-winning Fables. He illustrated nearly 100 children's books and was celebrated for his storytelling that emphasized love, friendship, and individuality. Lobel described himself as a 'daydreamer' and drew on personal experiences to create his beloved characters.
