André Aciman

André Aciman is an Egyptian-born American novelist, essayist, and memoirist known for his lyrical and psychologically insightful writing. He grew up in a multilingual Jewish family in Alexandria and Rome before moving to New York City. Aciman is a professor of comparative literature and directs the Writers' Institute at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York.
