Alastair Reynolds

Alastair Preston Reynolds, born in 1966 in Barry, South Wales, is a Welsh science fiction author specializing in hard science fiction and space opera. He holds a PhD in astronomy and worked for the European Space Agency before becoming a full-time writer. Reynolds is best known for his expansive Revelation Space universe, which includes novels, novellas, and short stories set over several centuries.
