Alasdair Gray

Alasdair James Gray (1934-2019) was a Scottish novelist, playwright, and artist, regarded as a major figure in Scottish literature and the Scottish Renaissance. He combined realism, fantasy, and science fiction in his works, often incorporating his own illustrations and typography. His upbringing in Glasgow and education at the Glasgow School of Art deeply influenced his writing.
