Alan Weisman

Alan H. Weisman, born March 24, 1947, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is an American author, professor, and journalist known for his environmental and cultural reporting. He has worked on seven continents and in over 60 countries, authoring six books including the international bestseller The World Without Us. Weisman's writing has appeared in major publications such as Harper's, The New York Times Magazine, and The Atlantic Monthly.
