Agnes Arber

Agnes Arber (1879–1960) was a prominent British botanist specializing in plant morphology and the history of botany. She was the first female botanist elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1946 and the first woman to receive the Gold Medal of the Linnean Society. Her work significantly contributed to botanical science and the philosophy of biology.
