Fran Lebowitz

Fran Lebowitz is an American writer, cultural critic, and raconteur known for her acerbic, witty essays that lampoon modern life. She is the author of bestselling essay collections Metropolitan Life and Social Studies, which were combined into The Fran Lebowitz Reader. Lebowitz is also known for her distinctive voice and sharp social commentary, and has been featured in documentaries directed by Martin Scorsese.
