Yei Theodora Ozaki

Yei Theodora Ozaki (1870–1932) was a Japanese translator and writer known for popularizing Japanese fairy tales in the English-speaking world. Born to a Japanese father and English mother, she was educated in England and later embraced her Japanese heritage, translating and retelling traditional Japanese stories for Western children. Her works remain influential in introducing Japanese folklore internationally.
