Walter Farley

Walter Lorimer Farley (1915–1989) was an American author best known for his children's novels about horses, especially The Black Stallion series. He wrote over 20 books in the series and other horse-related stories, selling around twelve million copies worldwide. His works have been translated into many languages and continue to be published.
