Susan Warner

Susan Bogert Warner (1819–1885) was an American Presbyterian writer known for religious fiction, children's fiction, and theological works. She wrote under the pen name Elizabeth Wetherell and is best remembered for her bestseller The Wide, Wide World. She and her sister Anna Bartlett Warner also wrote popular Christian hymns for children.
