Susan Glaspell

Susan Glaspell (1876–1948) was an American playwright, novelist, journalist, and actress. She co-founded the Provincetown Players, the first modern American theatre company, and was a pioneering figure in American drama and literature. She wrote over fifty short stories, nine novels, and fifteen plays, and won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1931 for her play Alison's House.
