Stéphanie-Félicité De Genlis

Caroline-Stéphanie-Félicité, Madame de Genlis (1746–1830) was a French aristocrat, prolific writer, playwright, novelist, and educator. She is known for her extensive literary output of over 120 volumes, focusing on moral and religious education, and for her role as governess to the children of Louis Philippe, Duke of Chartres. She was influential in theories of children's education and is remembered for her journals and historical perspective on her era.
