Mark Lanegan

Mark Lanegan (1964–2022) was an American rock musician and songwriter, best known as the frontman of the proto-grunge band Screaming Trees and for his solo work. His memoir, Sing Backwards and Weep, chronicles his troubled upbringing, rise to fame, struggles with addiction, and life in the Seattle music scene of the 1980s and 1990s.
