Kent Haruf

Kent Haruf (1943–2014) was an American novelist known for his poignant storytelling about small-town life in fictional Holt, Colorado. He wrote five novels including Plainsong and Our Souls at Night, and received numerous literary awards. Haruf completed his final novel, Our Souls at Night, while battling incurable lung disease and died shortly after its completion.
