John Kendrick Bangs

John Kendrick Bangs (1862–1922) was an American author, humorist, editor, and satirist known for creating modern Bangsian fantasy, a genre set partly or wholly in the afterlife. He was born in Yonkers, New York, and became a prominent writer and lecturer, influencing humorous and fantastical fiction.
