John C. Bogle

John Clifton "Jack" Bogle (1929–2019) was an American investor, business magnate, and philanthropist, founder and former CEO of The Vanguard Group. He is credited with popularizing the index fund and was a tireless advocate for low-cost, long-term investing strategies. Bogle was recognized as one of the investment industry's giants and received numerous awards for his contributions.
