Joel Benton

Joel Benton (1832–1911) was an American writer, poet, and lecturer born in Amenia, Dutchess County, New York. He worked as a teacher and was known for his literary contributions including poetry and biographies. Benton wrote extensively on cultural and literary figures and was active in public speaking.
