Jeffery Farnol

John Jeffery Farnol (1878–1952) was a British author known for writing over 40 romance novels, many set in the Georgian or English Regency periods, as well as swashbuckling adventure stories. He was a pioneer of the Regency romance genre alongside Georgette Heyer. Farnol's works often featured themes of love, honor, and courage, with virtuous characters facing moral dilemmas and emerging as heroes.
