Jeanette Winterson

Jeanette Winterson is an English author born in Manchester in 1959, known for her innovative and often unconventional novels exploring themes of gender, sexuality, and identity. Her debut novel, Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit, is semi-autobiographical and won the Whitbread Prize for Best First Novel. She has been recognized with numerous awards and honors, including the Lambda Literary Award and a CBE for services to literature.
