James Frazer

Sir James George Frazer (1854–1941) was a Scottish social anthropologist, folklorist, and classical scholar. He is best known for his influential work The Golden Bough, which is a comprehensive comparative study of mythology and religion. Frazer's work helped establish modern comparative anthropology and influenced a wide range of fields including literature and psychology.
