Howard R. Garis

Howard Roger Garis (1873–1962) was an American author best known for creating the Uncle Wiggily series of children's stories. He wrote extensively for the Stratemeyer Syndicate, contributing to popular series such as Tom Swift and Motor Boys, and penned an Uncle Wiggily story daily for over 52 years. Garis was also a reporter and special writer for the Newark Evening News.
