Herman Lehmann

Herman Lehmann (1859–1932) was a German-Texan who was captured as a child by Apache Indians and later lived with the Comanche. He became a warrior among the tribes and later returned to white society, publishing his autobiography recounting his experiences. His life bridged Native American and Euro-American cultures during a turbulent period in Texas history.
