H.B. Fyfe

Horace Brown Fyfe Jr. (1918-1997) was an American science fiction author known for his stories published primarily in the mid-20th century. He served in World War II and earned a Bronze Star. Fyfe's work often appeared in Astounding magazine, and he is noted for his Bureau of Slick Tricks series and the novel D-99.
