Eddie Jaku

Eddie Jaku (1920–2021) was a Holocaust survivor who endured imprisonment in Buchenwald and Auschwitz concentration camps during World War II. After emigrating to Australia, he became a humanitarian and author, sharing his story and philosophy of choosing happiness and kindness despite immense suffering. He volunteered at the Sydney Jewish Museum and was awarded the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for his community work.
