Dee Brown

Dorris Alexander "Dee" Brown (1908–2002) was an American novelist, historian, and librarian. He is best known for his 1970 book "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee," which exposed the systematic destruction of American Indian tribes during the late 19th century. Brown wrote over thirty books, often focusing on frontier history and overlooked moments of the Civil War.
