David Prescott Barrows

David Prescott Barrows (1873–1954) was an American anthropologist, explorer, and educator. He served as superintendent of schools in Manila, was a professor and later president at the University of California, and wrote extensively on his experiences in the Philippines and Africa. He also served in military and intelligence roles during World War I.
