Chaim Potok

Chaim Potok (1929–2002) was an American Jewish author, rabbi, and scholar known for his novels exploring the tensions between traditional Orthodox Judaism and modern secular society. His first novel, The Chosen (1967), was highly successful, winning the Edward Lewis Wallant Award and being nominated for the National Book Award. Potok's works often depict the struggles of Jewish identity and cultural conflict.
