Brian Jacques

Brian Jacques (1939–2011) was an English author best known for his Redwall series of children's fantasy novels. He wrote his first novel, Redwall, for children at a school for the blind in Liverpool, developing a highly descriptive style to help visually impaired readers imagine the scenes. Jacques worked various jobs before becoming a writer and was also a broadcaster and playwright.
