Andrew McCarthy

Andrew McCarthy is an American actor, director, travel writer, and author known for his roles in iconic 1980s films such as Pretty in Pink and St. Elmo's Fire. He is also an award-winning travel journalist and has written several bestselling books, including his memoir Brat: An '80s Story. McCarthy has directed numerous television episodes and has been recognized for his travel writing with multiple Lowell Thomas awards and the Travel Journalist of the Year award by the Society of American Travel Writers.
