Alex North is a British crime writer born in Leeds, England, where he lives with his wife and son. He is the internationally bestselling author of The Whisper Man, The Shadows, and The Angel Maker, and has previously published under another name. His debut novel, The Whisper Man, was inspired by his own son and explores themes of father-son relationships and grief.
